Lincoln Hall is a Hall of Residence for over 200 students at the University of Nottingham. The hall opened in 1962, and for 35 years was an all male hall. In 1997 it opened its doors to female residents for the first time and is now a mixed hall.

In July 1996 the Lincoln Hall Association was officially reformed, after many years of inactivity.

In 2020, after reflecting on the fact there had been little Association activity for a few years, it was decided to wind up the Association (the last reunion was held in 2012 to celebrate 50 years of Lincoln Hall).

When considering how this situation arose after several years of activity around the turn of the millennium, it was realised that back then associations like this were necessary to maintain contacts and keep people together. Since then the world of social media has taken off, and everyone has many methods of maintaining virtual contact.

Some time ago the University Alumni Relations Department set up a Facebook group for each Hall Association, Lincoln Hall group is:

www.facebook.com/groups/348923231858618

This is now the main platform for members to instigate future events or activities and generally keep in touch. So if you have a connection to the Hall please sign up.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Association over the years.
